Excelsior Farm and Grain is a family run business located in the beautiful Tennessee Valley. Our goal is to have a sustainable farm, living by the principle that we must meet the needs of the present without jeopardizing future generations' ability to meet their own needs. While emphasizing responsible stewardship of our resources, our mission is to provide the highest quality food available as we develop a farmer/consumer relationship that supports our local economy.

50 Chicks! They're Here!
They will be sheltered in our brooder for about 3 weeks until their feathers develop.

Once they are hearty enough to withstand the outdoors, they will be placed in my (once again) new and improved chicken tractor, where they will be able to receive fresh air, varied insects and grasses, along with non-gmo wholesome grain free of antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, and arsenic.

After 5 weeks, they will have grown to 3.5 lbs. - 5.5 lbs., at which point they will be ready for processing by our USDA facility and then enjoyed from our dining room table.
