We want to give you a big thank you for taking responsibility for your health, for consuming foods that nourish your body, and for supporting your local economy.  Those three objectives do not come without much effort, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Thank You!

This spring is our 2nd season for raising farm fresh eggs and pastured poultry. It has been a great adventure raising them, learning new things, and meeting new people.

Rejoicing Still,
The Cnossen Family

Great Disappointment

Very, Very Disappointing!

This is the 3rd time we were attacked by another animal.
It happens on the weekend in the middle of the night.
What a sad sight to behold on a beautiful crisp morning.  :-(
24 out of the 49 chickens gone!

50 Chicks!  They're Here!
They will be sheltered in our brooder for about 3 weeks until their feathers develop.

Once they are hearty enough to withstand the outdoors, they will be placed in my (once again) new and improved chicken tractor, where they will be able to receive fresh air, varied insects and grasses, along with non-gmo wholesome grain free of antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, and arsenic.

After 5 weeks, they will have grown to 3.5 lbs. - 5.5 lbs., at which point they will be ready for processing by our USDA facility and then enjoyed from our dining room table.
